What a busy week it has been! We have several pieces of great news from Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and of course, our women in tech!

Mozilla Cameroon – Calendar of events
November is a busy month for Mozilla Cameroon. Three MozCafes will take place across the country: in Dschan and Bamenda on 12th November and Douala on the 15th.
And THE event not to miss at the end of year is the MozFest Cameroon on 21st of November! Mozfest is an event where passionate technologists, educators and creators unite to hack on to innovative solutions for the Web’s most pressing issues. Find out more info here.

We have talked a lot about our MozRep and WoMoz Manuela Kouadio. She’s one of the top women changing Ivory Coast – always motivated and willing to do more for women in her country. Tunisia is helping tech start-ups
Great news! The government in Tunisia has decided to facilitate start-up access to finance in order to support ICT growth. In an interview the Minister of Development, Yassine Ibrahim said that the government would like to encourage banks to fund SMEs by either giving them longer credit or by creating banks dedicated to the regions with many SMEs that do not have access to funds. Women in tech building Africa’s IT landscape.
You all probably know that the 2015 “Pink Potential Initiative” took place a few days ago. If you didn’t, well it’s time to catch-up! This is an event organized by Techno Brain which celebrates the achievements of African women in the IT sector. And this year Topyster Muga was crowned the ‘IT Woman of the Year’ in Sub-Saharan Africa.
We are also proud of our friend Ethel Cofie, the founder of Edel Technologies and Women in tech Africa who has been mentioned as a leading woman building Africa’s IT landscape. Discover more about the career of some of the most amazing women from our continent here.
